CIUDAD DE MÉXICO, 11 DE ENERO DE 2018.- El domingo pasado, el mexicano Guillermo del Toro obtuvo el Globo de Oro como Mejor Director por su película “The Shape of Water”, y la noche de este jueves podría sumar otro premio en la 23 edición de los Critics’ Choice Awards.

Este premio es otorgado por la Asociación de Críticos Norteamericanos, la cual agrupa a más de 300 periodistas, y reconoce a lo mejor de la la televisión y el cine durante durante el año pasado.

Tiene 14 nominaciones

“The Shape of Water” o “La Forma del Agua” en español –que se estrena esta semana en México– es el filme con más nominaciones este año, al competir en 14 categorías, incluyendo Mejor Película.


En la de Mejor Director, Del Toro está nominado junto a Greta Gerwig (“Lady Bird”), Martin McDonagh (“Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri”), Christopher Nolan (“Dunkirk”), Luca Guadagnino (“Call Me By Your Name”), Jordan Peele (“Get Out”) y Steven Spielberg (“The Post”).

Además de Mejor Película y Mejor director, “The Shape of Water” está nominada en las categorías de Mejor Actriz, Mejor Actor de Reparto, Mejor Actriz de Reparto, Mejor Guión Original, Mejor Cinematografía, Mejor Diseño de Producción, Mejor Edición, Mejor Diseño de Vestuario, Mejor Peinado y Maquillaje, Mejores Efectos Visuales, Mejor Score y Mejor Película de Ciencia Ficción/Horror.

Dónde se puede ver

Los Critics’ Choice Awards, que forman parte de la “temporada de premios” que se vive en países como Estados Unidos, Inglaterra y España, y que culminará en marzo con la entrega de los Oscar, se transmitirá este jueves a las 19:00 h en los canales de cable TNT.


En el canal TNT, habrá traducción simultánea en español, mientras que en el canal TNT Series se transmitirá en su idioma original.
